ash and pikachu are invited to a pokemon party on a cruise ship. cool right? not! they've been tricked by the bad team rocket who plan to steal all the pokemon on board.
This is a review for the video. In conclusion, I agree with most of the other reviewers. However, I do declare that the video (and I presume the book as well) has a highly unsatisfying conclusion. West has written numerous volumes of Pokemon literature, and has made quite a bit of money. After reviewing some of the videos, I feel safe in saying that most of the material in the plot is a concoction of disappointing puns, a G-rated sense of adventure, all topped off with an American impersonation of Japanese culture. I'm glad to support any literature that encourages children to read, but after an episode like this one, I am questioning whether this material develops Any intelligence in children, or only prevents declination of an already low standard of aptitude.
My daughter had it read in 2 days. Off to the next one!!
My son is a huge Pokemon fan. He loves all things Pokemon but he did not like this book. He said it was boring and he just could not get into it.
I bought this book for my 9 year old grandson. He loves Pokemon and loves to read so this was the perfect combination. He told me he really enjoyed reading this book.
I ordered island of the giant Pokemon for my son, but received dolphin diaries. Not really what a 9 year old boy wants to read....
